Can you curl up on a Sunday morning with coffee and your PC? For Naked Surfer, it's all about the right website - and he's got one Slated in that fits the bill.

How has the Internet changed the way that we enjoy the media?
It's a huge question, demanding of a much better answer than I'm going to give. But put it this way.
Back in the day, what did you curl up with on a Sunday morning? A good Sunday paper. Hopefully you lived in a place - at least once - that granted you that pleasure.
The Internet for one, grants you the ability to curl up with everyone else's Sunday paper, be it in Sydney, New York or London. That's one big change.
There are also a few Internet magazines out there that provide the sorts of insights, good writing, and mix of content that you need in a Sunday read. And some sense of humour, dammit.
I mean, read CNN or BBC too long Sunday morning, and you could well be preparing the noose by Monday. That's why I like Slate.com.
Sure, Slate has a lot of politics, and often argues the sort of viewpoint likely to appeal to inhabitants of cafes in New York or Los Angeles. But more importantly, it puts a funny spin on serious topics too. Or sometimes, it just gets silly.
Like, where does the term "Pee like a Racehorse" come from? And why did it come about? Damn it, that's my idea of a Sunday morning read.
And instead of just following the Democrat primary, why not set up a "Hillary Deathwatch", where a graphic shows a circling shark around Senator Clinton, and an updated estimate of her chances of victory (today it's 12.5 percent).
Silly stuff, with some fact mixed in. A few laughs from a team of quality left-field writers, who still make you think. It's all you need early on Sundays - and it may just make the idea of Monday a little more fun.
Peace,
Naked Surfer
