Loh Lik Peng

Dynamic hotelier and restauranteur Loh Lik Peng was born in Dublin, Ireland to Singapore aprents who were practicing medicine there at the time. He attended school in England before returning to Singapore in 1997.

Loh became a corporate litigator upon his return before leaving the profession to open Hotel 1929 in 2003. In 2006, he opened the New Majestic Hotel and Majestic Restaurant.

His hotels have won international acclaim, having made headlines internationally in The Washington Post, The Observatory, SC Global, and Time Magazine. Both hotels have also been awarded the URA Architectural Heritage Award. In 2005, the Singapore Tourism Board awarded Loh the “New Tourism Entrepreneur Award”.
